Where we are

Casa Olmata is a small hostel located in a roman building dating back to the XVI Century and situated in the heart of the historical center of Rome. Located up on the hill between Termini Station and the Colosseum. The view that you can enjoy from the roof terrace is unforgettable!

Opening time for the front desk: 8:00 - 14:00 / 16:00 - 24:00
Remember, that outside of the opening hours you cannot check in.

From Termini

It is a 5 minute walk to reach the Casa Olmata from Termini station: take the left exit (next to platform 22) and you will be in Via Giolitti (opposite the McDonalds); cross the street, go on your left and take the first street on your right, Via Gioberti. Go straight on until the square of Santa Maria Maggiore Church. On the opposite side of this square, you will see Via dell’Olmata, an uphill street with two big flags of a police station. Cross the square and go straight ahead into Via dell'Olmata (there is a tourist information kiosk at the beginning of the street). We are at number 36.

From and to Fiumicino Airport

From Fiumicino Airport - Leonardo da Vinci (FCO), there's an express train that runs every 30 minutes from 6:30 AM until 10:30 PM. It takes you all the way to Termini station, for 14 euros. A cheaper alternative is to take this same train until "Ostiense", and take from here the metro to Termini.

From and to Ciampino Airport

If you arrive at Ciampino Airport, you have to take either the Terravision bus (8 euros, after every low-cost flight) or the Sitbusshuttle (6 euros, approximately every 45 minutes), outside the arrivals hall of the airport. These busses take you to Termini station.

Airport shuttle

If You need, we can arrange a shuttle transfer for you from the airport to our hostel or back at only 40,00 for max 4 people and one piece of luggage per person. For EUR 70,00, you can reserve a round trip.
